Daniel Fast.

I'm breaking my Daniel Fast tonight and wow, here I was thinking this fast was for music and lo and behold God showed me more than just music -He showed me my heart. As humbling as it may seem, before we can get to the promised land - Deut 7 - God had to lead the Israelites into the wilderness Deut 8:6- to humble them, to test them - to see where their hearts were at.

He wanted to see if they would still stick to His commandments - even in the wilderness - would they still thank Him, even in the wilderness - would they acknowledge Him. He fed them with manna - he gave them water to drink from a rock (who does that??) - even in the dryness of it all - He made sure that the Israelites were fed and given water to drink - he ensured that their clothes wouldn't wear out nor would they get swollen feet and with that in mind - remember - they were walking for about 40 years there - read the first half of Deut 8. And then in the second half of Deut 8 it talks about the promised land - how plentiful, how beautiful, how vast - and a reminder to not forget God in the abundance. Deut 7 states - God chose Israelites (I'm gonna say us!) - not because we're numerous but simply because he loves us. And this includes leading us to our wilderness (watever that is and maybe its already happened for us or we are currently there)- to humble us, to test our hearts. Deut 8:16 says ...that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do you good in the end. So its great to know there's an end in mind - its to do us good - for our benefits.

What does this mean for us? Well, this fast ain't just about music - its your heart.
I don't wanna just make an album and put my accolades on there...I want God to be in 100 % - and this is the month of refining! Let this be a month of refining, clarity and moulding, a month of preparing for the next stage.

Luv yas!!!
